Location; The B1 Locomotives were utilized in the Carriage Sidings.
Servicing Arrangements; Around the end of steam working in the area watering facilities were still available at Hornsey MPD [25½ miles] and it was also usual for any steam locomotives to receive coal at Kings Cross Station Servicing Point. In April 1964 this facility was withdrawn the B1 then travelled to the depot each day for coaling and watering and, if it ran out of coal or water, hauled back “dead”.
